Hi, I’m Grant Templeton and I began life as a Podiatrist in 1994, when I commenced practising at West Auckland Podiatry and Waitakere hospital.
My clinic is located at the Westcare Specialist Centre, right next to the White Cross A & E clinic, 131 Lincoln Rd. There is no team so if you do make an appointment you’re stuck with me. Fortunately I do get to work alongside a wide range of other health professionals which makes for a stimulating work environment.
I’m often asked “what on earth makes someone want to work with feet all day?” Good question and I don’t have any great affinity with feet and while there can be challenges in treating parts of our anatomy that can sometimes be neglected, there is great satisfaction if you can alleviate pain and help improve someones quality of life.
At the end of the day though, I would much prefer to be fishing, surfing, mountain biking, playing table tennis and enjoying good food and wine. But we all know that “All play and no work means there’s a good chance you’ll eventually go hungry”.
